Campaign Story

Hi everyone,

This is one of the hardest things for us to write, because we’ve always been the type to handle things ourselves and not ask for help. But sometimes, it really does take a village.

My wife Alyssa and I have been together for 3 years and married for 2. From the very beginning, we dreamed of building a family together. We’ve talked about having children for so long, and now, more than ever, we’re ready to make that dream a priority. But the road here hasn’t been easy. I (Hailee) have had three miscarriages, and Alyssa battles PCOS and Endometriosis. These struggles have been emotionally and physically draining, but through it all, our hope and love for each other and for our future baby has never faded.

We’re preparing to start IVF in the next month or two, and for the first time in a while, we feel hopeful again. We want to do Reciprocal IVF, where Alyssa’s egg will be used, and I will carry the pregnancy so our child is a part of both of us.

Unfortunately, we just found out our insurance won’t cover any of the process, and the full cost—medications, egg retrieval, donor sperm, embryo transfer, and genetic testing—comes to $25,000.

It’s hard to ask, but we’re reaching out to our community—our friends, family, and even kind-hearted strangers—to help us get there. Any amount, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to holding our baby. Even sharing this helps more than you know.

As a way to honor everyone who helps us on this journey, we’ve created a special puzzle.
For every donation, we’ll write your name (or initials) on a puzzle piece. Once completed, the puzzle will be framed and displayed in our baby’s room—a permanent reminder of the village that helped bring our child into the world.
